Assemblage: Trees 2
I’ve been working on a series of 3D assemblage ‘tree’ sculptures made out of found objects such as wood chip, cardboard, wire, foil, bottle lids, and wine/rum bottle corks. I’m interested in exploring this series further and creating more assembled trees using various found objects. so far all of the alcohol caps and corks that I have used are from bottles that my boyfriend bought. I think that this could potentially add an interesting conceptual layer to the ‘trees’, and so I may continue to only use alcohol corks and lids from bottles of wine that he purchases.
Tree 4 is made using wire, a patrone bottle cork, a wine bottle cork, found wood, and acrylic paint. *measurments to come*
In hindsight I could have chosen a different colour for the bottom cork as I feel it’s too similar to the original colour.
Tree 5 is made using wire, a wine bottle cork, beer bottle lids, masking tape, and acrylic paint. *measurments to come*
I like the colours that I used for this tree, and really enjoy the simple composition, and texture on the green part of the tree.
Tree 6 is made using wire, a wine bottle cork, wine bottle lid, masking tape, found wood, and acrylic paint. *measurments to come*
