Linocut + Theme

For this specific print, I aimed to replicate the design process employed in crafting my monoprints. Utilising the monoprints as a template, I carved the image onto the linoleum sheet. Drawing inspiration from traditional West African block printing, characterized by intricate patterns commonly adorning fabrics, I fashioned a frame reminiscent of this aesthetic. I found this approach fitting for the overarching theme and inspiration behind these prints.
