Filling Up Space.

For this painting I played with composition and space inspired by Sister Gertrude Morgan. I first made an oil pastel sketch (top) and then the final oil painting (below), however I didn’t really like the way that I rendered the characters in the final painting and ironically preferred the oil pastel sketch, as I liked the composition, colours, and looseness more.
