Oil Pastels

These are a few oil pastel drawings that I recently sketched. Continuing on the Asafo flag theme when creating these drawings I drew inspiration from photos of tradition Asafo flags. This was also my first time working with oil pastels and I was a little dissapointed by the results, I had anticipated soft pastels that would glide onto the paper easily but instead I found that these were tough and slightly dry. I have however ordered some new oil pastels by a brand that supposedly makes high quality ones. I’ll be sure to blog about my experience with my new oil pastels once they have arrived.
