Reverse Stencil

I cut a mermaid, palm tree, and human shape out of scrap pieces of cardboard, and created a kind of 'reverse stencil' by painting around the edges of the cardboard cut out shapes, I like the imperfections created by the ink bleeding through the cardboard shapes during the painting process...

I liked how the cardboard cut outs looked after I had finished creating the 'reverse stencils'
