Weekend Paintings
This is another A3 sized ‘finger oil painting’ that I made over the weekend, I replicated a water colour sketch that I had previously made. So far my fingers seem to be the best tool for me to use to create the oil paintings. I’ve also just purchased some Turpentine to use when making oil paintings, I’m hoping it will make it easier for me to spread the paint around the canvas. I don’really like how I depicted the human figure in this painting, though I do like the birds and the tree. At the moment I’m still uncertain about exactly how I want to depict humans, I feel I have the vision in mind, but it doesnt come out as I invision once I put paint to paper.
The original water colour sketch that I used as a reference for the oil painting (above).
I created this A4 sized oil painting over the weekend too. I like the composition of this painting, but I felt that the colours, as well as the way that I depicted the characters in the painting are not entirely my style.
